Standing with tenants at a dilapidated Bronx apartment building, Public Advocate Bill de Blasio launched an 8-point housing plan to to repair run-down apartments and protect tenants. The set of initiatives harness the City’s purchasing power, rent subsidy programs, tenant organizing, private legal expertise and innovative tools like Craigslist.org to break the cycle of deteriorating housing New York City.
